What is music therapy?
The American Music Therapy Association defines music therapy as “the clinical & evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program.”
In music therapy we use your connection to music as a tool for healing. Music therapy can be used to reach a variety of emotional, cognitive, and physical goals through active and receptive music interventions. Music is a powerful therapeutic tool that can help you access and express emotions in a way that may not be possible with words alone.
